Find your DwellTrack forwarding address
Open Kevin activity in your workspace and find your receipt forwarding address. Save it as a contact so it is easy to use when an invoice arrives. Use the address assigned to your workspace rather than sending attachments to a general support address.
This workflow processes the messages you forward to DwellTrack. It does not require access to your whole email inbox. If you want Kevin to handle an invoice, forward that message with its receipt or invoice attachment.
Include the property or unit with the attachment
Forward a readable invoice or receipt and add the property name or address. Include the unit when the expense belongs to a specific unit. This context helps connect the extracted details to the correct rental.
For example, you could add: ‘This invoice is for 147 Heritage Place, Unit 1.’ Treat this as an example of assignment context, not a promise that any invoice layout or ambiguous address will be resolved automatically.
Understand what Kevin does in the background
Kevin processes forwarded receipts even while you are signed out. He extracts available expense details and places the result in Kevin activity. Review the record against the invoice, supply missing information, and confirm when the details are complete.
If automatic logging is enabled in your preferences, eligible clear forwarded receipts can be recorded as expenses without another visit to the app. This depends on your settings, the information available, and your remaining Kevin actions. Automatic logging is not an assurance that every attachment can be processed without questions.
Choose how much to automate
Leave automatic logging off if you prefer to review each emailed expense before it is recorded. Enable it when you want eligible forwarded receipts handled in the background, and continue checking activity for items that need your input.
In-app uploads still follow their review-and-confirm workflow. Changing the email logging preference does not mean every expense or rent payment you request will be recorded without confirmation.
Check the outcome and handle unclear receipts
Kevin activity brings together processed receipts, logged records, and requests for missing context. Check the assigned rental, total, vendor, date, category, and description against the original document. Where a result requires review, correct the details before confirming.
If an attachment is unreadable or Kevin cannot assign the property confidently, provide a clearer document or the missing context. For an unverified outcome, check activity before sending the same receipt again so you can avoid creating a second request unnecessarily.
- Use a clear receipt or invoice attachment.
- Name the rental and unit where relevant.
- Review uncertain details in Kevin activity.
- Keep the original document with your records.
Know your action allowance
Starter includes 10 lifetime Kevin trial actions. Solo includes 20, Landlord 150, and Portfolio 300 Kevin actions per month. Check your remaining allowance in the workspace and the pricing page for current plan details.
Kevin helps organize expense records; he does not determine tax deductibility or replace an accountant. Review categories and keep supporting evidence when preparing records for tax season.
